IMPORTANT COVID VACCINATION UPDATE
The surgery is open and it is possible to access help from the GP online, over the phone and face to face. However given the extremely high rates of COVID-19 currently we are concentrating on urgent problems. More routine matters may be deferred at the current time.
Accessing your surgery online via e-consult will reduce waiting times for appointments and mean that the GP can see you quickly if needed
Face to face appointments are available however due to the measures in place to limit the possibility of Covid transmission, where a consultation can take place over the phone or video this will be the preferred route
All appointment requests for GP's will be triaged first via a GP and face to face appointments organised where appropriate.
Nursing appointments are available as per usual for smears, immunizations, dressings
The practice team is working hard to ensure that they can see patients in a safe environment when they do require a face to face appointment
- Flu vaccines are available but in high demand - To conform with social distancing these are being booked into dedicated flu clinics this year - please speak to reception for further details
- We encourage you to order repeat prescriptions via on-line access or by email (HILLCCG.firstname.lastname@example.org) . If you have no other option, we will allow you to make requests over the telephone. Please try to avoid bringing paper requests to the surgery in order to reduce your need to leave home. the vast majority of prescriptions will be sent electronically to a pharmacist of your choice.
***UPDATE ON NHS 111 SERVICES***
“Due to pressures on the 111 service, during the hours of 8 am till 7:30pm on weekends only we have opened a direct patient line 01895 379302 which is able to help you with virtual consultations for urgent medical problems. If you have COVID symptoms please call 111 or visit www.111.nhs.uk for advice. For non COVID problems you can use this line and speak to a local GP for some advice.
Outside these hours please call 111, or visit the 111 website.
If you have run out of regular medication please remember that the pharmacists are able to issue you with an emergency supply until the practice is open and therefore please contact your pharmacist first.
There is significant pressure on the NHS at this time and we urge you to use the services responsibly.”

If you are unwell with a sore throat fever, cough or loss of smell or you believe that you may be exposed to somebody who has coronavirus---PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE SURGERY OR ATTEND THE SURGERY-- YOU MUST STAY AT HOME AND SELF-ISOLATE. You can also contact 111 ONLINE for further initial advice including for covid-19 tests. We urge you to get tested. You can ring 119 to organise a covid-19 test.
If you need to be examined for any respiratory symptoms the surgery may refer you to hospital or a local Hot Hub clinic.
If you are self isolating as per Government advice you do not need a medical certificate. If your employer asks you for one please DOWNLOAD this letter which explains the situation to your employer. You can fill out the dates and reason for not attending work.

Please ensure we have an up-to date record of your mobile phone number as we now frequently communicate back to you via text messaging messages about appointments, test results , medications etc. (you can also opt out of receiving messages if you advise us). We can also arrange a video consultation using your mobile (smart) phone.
If you wish to, you can now use the internet to book appointments with a GP, request repeat prescriptions for any medications you take regularly and look at your medical record online. You can also still use the telephone or call in to the surgery for any of these services as well.
Being able to see your record online might help you to manage your medical conditions. It also means that you can access it from anywhere in the world should you require medical treatment on holiday.
The services is open 24/7/365 and can be accessed from your home PC, Tablet or Mobile phone. Please speak to one of our receptionists to register for Online Access.
