Appointments

There are always appointments available for the same day if you wish to be seen urgently, although these may not necessarily be with your preferred doctor. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, GP appointments are initially by telephone /video and where necessary patients are invited for face to face consultation. This is to keep patients and staff safe.
Many health issues can be resolved over the phone or by video link and it is important that we have your up to date phone number.
If you feel that your problem is urgent and you need to be seen the same day, please advise the receptionist who will initially get the doctor to phone you back.
If you have an appointment that you are unable to keep please let us know as soon as possible so that it can be given to another patient.
Whilst we encourage continuity, patients may consult any member of the team.
Upon arriving, please check in that you have arrived at the check in screen at the entrance.
Patients should only attend the hospitals A&E department if they feel that their problem is an emergency requiring emergency hospital treatment.
Nursing Services
The practice nurse provides a wide range of services during surgery opening hours. Please make an appointment with the receptionist. When booking your appointment with the nurse it is helpful if you can state your reason for seeing her so that we can book the appropriate amount of time.
